Parish History[edit | edit source]

TELSCOMBE (St. Lawrence), a parish, in the union of Newhaven, hundred of Holmstrow, rape of Lewes, E. division of Sussex, 5 miles (S. by W.) from Lewes. The road from Brighton to Newhaven passes through the parish, and the English Channel bounds it on the south. The church is a small structure, principally in the Norman style; the north aisle is separated from the nave by three circular arches.[1]
