This collection contains images of wills, land records, marriage documents, and other notarized documents from Toruń for the years 1750-1915. The original records are housed at the State Historical Archive of Toruń, Poland.

Marriage Contracts normally include:

  • Date and place of event
  • Name of bride and groom
  • Residence, marital status, age
  • Names of parents
  • Names of witnesses

Divisions of Estates normally include:

  • Estate owner
  • Names of relatives
  • Residence

Land Transfers normally include:

  • Name of land owner
  • Name person acquiring land
  • Description of land
  • Date of transfer
  • Details of transaction

How Do I Search the Collection?

Before searching, it is best to know the following:

  • Name of the person
  • Type of record

I Can't Find Who I'm Looking for, What Now?
