NEWTON-UPON-TRENT (St. Peter), a parish, in the union of Gainsborough, wapentake of Well, parts of Lindsey, county of Lincoln, 10 miles (W. N. W.) from Lincoln, and 15 miles (N. by E.) from Newark. There is a place of worship for Wesleyans.
