Flanery County, North Dakota was formed 09 Mar 1883 with the name French from Wallette Dakota territory(in present North Dakota). Then on 02 Nov 1889 it became a county. In 1883 and 1885 it lost territoy to other Benson County, North Dakota Genealogy. Then in 02 Mar 1891 all the remaining territory was lost to Williams County and Flanery became extinct. [1]
