Parish History[edit | edit source]
EDMUNDBYERS (St. Edmund), a parish, in the union of Weardale, W division of Chester ward, N division of the county of Durham, 5 miles WSW from Shotley-Bridge. There is a place of worship for Wesleyans. [1]
Additional information: Edmundbyers is an ancient parish and the church of St Edmund is of Saxon origin and has a list of rectors from 1275.
