Covington county was formed from Henry County, was called Jones County from August 1868 until October 1868, abolished: December 3, 1867, re-established: December 1, 1868.

Land and Property[edit | edit source]

Land and property records can place an ancestor in a particular location, provide economic information, and reveal family relationships. Land records include: deeds, abstracts and indexes, mortgages, leases, grants and land patents.
