== Jurisdiction ==

The Court of the Peculiar&nbsp;of Droxford with Swanmore, Shedfield, Hill and Midlington held jurisdiction over the ancient parish of Droxford and its tythings of Swanmore, Hill and Midlington and its associated chapelry called Shedfield or sometimes called Shidfield. When a search of this courts’ probate records fails to provide the desired probate record, be sure to search both the&nbsp;Consistory and Archdeaconry Courts of Winchester as well as the Prerogative Court of the Archbishop of Canterbury.&nbsp;
