BRAMCOTE, a parish, in the union of Shardlow, S. division of the wapentake of Broxtow, N. division of the county of Nottingham, 5 miles (W. by S.) from Nottingham.[1]

Bramcote was originally formed as a chapelry within Attenborough, Nottinghamshire Genealogy Ancient parish.
Bramcote St Michael and All Angels was built in 1861 as an Ecclesiastical parish church.
