Chapelry History[edit | edit source]

Blawith St John the Baptist was createda chapelry in 1745 from Ulverston St Mary, Lancashire Ancient Parish. Other places included in this parish include: Higher Subberthwaite. 

"BLAWITH, a chapelry [as of 1715],in the parish and unionof Ulverston, hundred of Lonsdale north of the Sands, N. division of the county of Lancaster, 7 miles north of Ulverston.[1]
