  1. Judy, in our last class, you gave us a URL with a list of wiki language information.  I thought I had saved it, but can't find it.  Could you post it here?  Lynda
Here is the one that I think you mean: --Judy 18:16, 15 March 2011 (UTC)

2.  Hi Judy .,,,  Could I possibly get a copy of your Lesson 9-12 handouts please?  Thanks.  Jane      evancol 11:23, 17 November 2011 (UTC)

I'll be posting them as soon as possible to the New Contributors Training page. Thanks for your patience.

3.   Judy ...  I wasn't sure where to find you these days, maybe at a different user page ?    I am using edited versions of your incredible handouts for the new contributor training classes.  Would it be ok with you if I credited you on them ?  Jane    evancol

Yes, please.   In fact, our Creative Commons License requires attribution.
On your new file's description page, in the Author field of the Information template, put something similar to "Based on Media:New_Wiki_Contributors_Training_%E2%80%93_Lesson_3.pdf New Wiki Contributors Training – Lesson 3  by SuperGenealogist, adapted by Evancol."
Make sure that the file name is not identical to the one it is based on.  Thanks. --Judy 20:48, 25 January 2012 (UTC)

4.Judy, in our meeting yesterday, you mentioned links to templates in regards to the proposal for policy changes.  Janell and I were not quite sure what you meant.  Would you let me know, please?  Hope you have power today.averyld 14:44, 7 September 2012 (UTC)

New Wiki Contributors Training – Lessons[edit source]

Hi Judy,

I have looked into the issue that you raise at the meeting today about the PDF files for the "New Wiki Contributors Training – Lessons". I believe the special character in the file name is causing the problems. It means that the files can not be renamed, as the actual file name and the stored named in the wiki are different. This is why when you go to the file description page the message is shown that the file does not exist. I believe the best option is to re-upload the files with filenames that exclude that character. I have uploaded File:New Wiki Contributors Training Lesson 9.pdf and also edited FamilySearch Wiki:New Contributors Training/Prior Lessons to link to it directly via an internal link. If you would like me to do the rest, please let me know. Otherwise you could copy what I have done for the other files. Please note when you uploaded the file, you will be warned that the file is a duplicate. There is an option to ignore the warning and continue to upload. Once all the files are re-uploaded and the links changed and you are happy with the situation, we will need to ask the engineers to delete the previous versions with the special characters in the title as I don't think it will be possible to delete them in the normal way. --Steve (talk| contribs) 21:26, 3 April 2012 (UTC)
