Discussion Items:[edit | edit source]

1. WIKI tables can turn into “oversized monsters”
[edit | edit source]

This is a known problem that just hasn’t made it into the queue to get fixed yet. As a short-term solution try call-spacing and make the table a little narrower.

2. style guidelines for naming countries in the WIKI[edit | edit source]

Originally, it had been agreed to use the names as listed in the CIA Fact Book. Here, for instance, “Netherlands” has recently been changed to “Nederland”. The Wikipedia lists both the English and native country names in each article, usually in the introductory paragraph before the outline.

It was decided to present some proposed style guidelines for geographic names on the discussion page for the Manual of Style. David Dilts will present a first draft there.[ Seehere]
Comments and suggestions are very welcome!

3. Possible improvement of the unwieldy structure of the forums
[edit | edit source]

Molly explained the WIKI and the forums operate separately at this point, and that improvements in forum functionality are planned to take place within a couple of months.

4. Link to the WIKI Manual of Style[edit | edit source]

As requested, a link to WIKI Manual of Style (MOS) was placed on the top of the community meeting page and in today’s minutes:

The Manual of Style, and the link need to be kept up-to-date.
