Hello, my name is Jeniann Nielsen. Perhaps I was destined to love genealogy when my parents gave me my name. They named me after 2 of my great-grandmothers, Jennie and Ann, and though I was too young to know them very well, I feel I know them because I grew up hearing stories about them.

I often think of Ann as I chase around my brood of 5 young children and attempt to control the chaos. Ann had triplets, and then a year and half later had twins--in 1912, with no indoor plumbing, and no disposable diapers, and no microwave, and no washing machine. How she did it, I have no idea. But somehow she did. She called it her true university education--from the "university hard knocks." When I try to complain, I remember Ann and realize that if she did what she did and kept her sense of humor firmly intact, I can do it, too.

I love the FamilySearch wiki, and I've often used it in my own research. I'm happy to be part of the effort to make it even better, and I'm glad to have the opportunity to help in my own small way.
