BROKEN LINKS A large number of links on this page are broken and are in need of repair. The problem is similar to the Sussex Census which required substantial revision. Could this page be fixed? Discovered when working on the Alfold, Surrey Genealogy and Alfold, Sussex Genealogy pages. Chichgirl 20 August 2011

parishes Oxted- Wyke have been incorrectly entered to result in Wyke discovered when Oxted returned incorrect link Sopsteele 10:36, 27 August 2011 (UTC)

parishes Oxted- Wyke now fixed but I am unable to second guess some lines entered without parish name. Suggest that the page needs to be reviewed to ensure that all parishes are linked. Suggest Oxted -Wyke links already entered need checking to ensure parish page links work with Partially corrected page Decars 05:48, 28 August 2011 (UTC) Albury, Surrey Genealogy-Farleigh, Surrey Genealogy are broken link to Farleigh Library Catalogue page only and need fixing
Page now fixed as far as possible to identify parish entries.

I (and others) are approaching this page in order to overlap Surrey parish links in the Sussex Parishes which neighbour our existing content in order to connect Poor Law Unions and registration districts. I am mystified by some numbered entries Number 1 as an example gives a Catalogue entry which reads "Kent County Archives inventory title is: (U971) Messrs. Day, Rooke and Co.

Contains detailed abstracts of land ownership of Boughton Monchelsea, Loose, East Farleigh, Langley and Ebony in the Isle of Oxney.

IN Finding aids / Kent County Archives Office."

Quite what this has to do with Surrey Census escapes me!! Could FamilySearch please offer some undertaking to rework this page which contributors have corrected as far as possible to repair the original broken links. Chichgirl 08:27, 9 September 2011 (UTC)

In view of Vona Williams explanation of work to rectify this data ( quoted on the Talk: Sussex Census page) no contributions for the Surrey Parishes are being attempted in the foreseeable future until engineers have rectified the issues referred to.Crescunt 14:23, 30 September 2011 (UTC)

Throughout the county "Parish history" contains copyright British History Online text. Removal of links to this page is being undertaken for a limited number of parishes, each of which need parish history completion with non-copyright material.

As a member of the wiki maintenance team, this page "Surrey Census" came to my attention as needing help.  Every link has been checked in the three columns and each link is working.

There is a question in reviewing the page that I have.  Is Abinger and Addington parish information part of Buckland?

When there are #s in the columns [no names] and an active link, is it the intent of the contributor to take the researcher to a general records page in the FHL catalogue?

I wanted to post these questions so that other researchers searching for Surrey records can obtain clarity about this article.  Thank you for all the hard work that has been done on this Surrey Census page. CIrwin Caroline Wolfgramm Irwin 18:42, 28 March 2012 (UTC)
