Should Creswell (near Stafford) have a page on the Wiki?[edit source]
Other sources, specifically A Vision of Britain through Time and Wikipedia describe two places in Staffordshire: Creswell (near Stafford) and Cresswell. (Note the difference in spelling.) The second one is some miles to the north is the location of St. Mary's Roman Catholic Church. It is a hamlet in the parish of Draycott-in-the-Moors. This is the place you are describing here.
Creswell (near Stafford) was an ancient parish, then an extraparochial tract, and became a civil parish in 1858. I can find no sources for BMD registers for Creswell (near Stafford), nor do I find any notes of it being absorbed by another parish. Admittedly it is small, but given that it was a civil parish for so long I would have thought there would be some references.
