The son of English parentage, he has lived, studied and lectured in the UK, U.S. and Canada, and is a specialist in especially London and 'Home' (surrounding) counties, Lancashire, England's big cities, 'Brickwall' 17th Century emigration, the West Midland counties, military, British subjects abroad, Nonconformists (i.e. Presbyterian, Roman Catholic & Huguenots), Emigration, Probate research.
