The library offers a wide range of classes on family history topics.

The Riverton FamilySearch Library is pleased and eager to offer the opportunity for individuals, organizations, and others to schedule a group visit to our library. We offer a variety of options that are sure to provide interest to your group. They include a short presentation by one of our staff members, 20 to 25 minutes, in one of our meeting rooms, with the remainder of the time in the library. On the third Saturday of each month, except for February and December, the Riverton FamilySearch Library offers a free, three-hour Saturday Seminar with a featured speaker and various classes.
The Riverton FamilySearch Library hosts a Family Discovery Day on the fourth Saturday of September. A wide variety of family-oriented, family history activities will be available to experience, enjoy and learn. Handouts from past Discovery Days can be downloaded for your use.
As part of your family reunion, bring the entire family to the Riverton FamilySearch Library and feel the love which is generated as you search for and find ancestors needing temple ordinances for your family members to perform. Presentations and hands-on experiences are available to help strengthen the bond of love on both sides of the veil.
Groups may come for a few hours or the entire day, choosing presentations that match their goals and experience levels. Each presentation and related practice takes up to ninety minutes. We also include fun activities to help youth get to know their family and ancestors through our Family Story room, Replace-a-Face, and the 3-in 1 workstations.
Youth conference is an opportunity to help youth learn, grow, and have an uplifting spiritual experience. Family history can be a valuable experience for youth conference. The activities are designed to help youth and their leaders feel the Spirit of Elijah and experience how its influence can bless the lives of both the living and the dead through family history and temple ordinance work. Our purpose for the conferences is to turn the hearts of our youth to their fathers.
This year wards and stakes can tailor a family history experience for their interests and the amount of time they have available. Groups may come for a few hours or the entire day, choosing presentations that match their goals and experience levels. Each presentation and related practice takes up to ninety minutes. We also include fun activities to help youth get to know their ancestors and each other. The youth conference coordinator will work with each ward or stake to develop a program specifically for their youth.
The Riverton FamilySearch Library has a Family Story Room available for use to record your family's stories. The space is designed with state-of-the-art audio and video technology. The comfortable furnishings and sound proofed interior provide a quiet secluded area, ideal for recording personal histories. Include are for details on scheduling our Family Story Room.
On the second Saturday of each month, except December, the library offers a Boy Scout Genealogy Merit Badge Workshop.
The library offers a wide variety of family history training classes at other locations.
