What is in This Collection?[edit | edit source]
This census was taken on 3 December 1870 in selected coastal cities and trading centers (ladestder). The census was to include all persons living in the residence, including those temporarily absent or present. This collection also contains a folder containing images of a statistical abstract of Bergen. This list gives only numerical information which includes the house number, total number of occupants, the number of person temporarily present, and the number of persons temporarily absent.
The enumeration for the following cities are missing:
- Farsund, Vest-Agder
- Hamar, Hedmark
- Hølen, Akershus
- Kragerø, Telemark
- Sandnes, Rogaland
- Stathelle, Telemark
- Stavanger, Rogaland
- Vadsø, Finnmark
- Vardø, Finnmark
- Åsgårdstrand, Vestfold
