Parish History[edit | edit source]

MARDEN, NORTH, a parish, in the union of West Bourne, hundred of Westbourne, and Singleton, rape of Chichester, West division of Sussex, seven  miles South East from Petersfield.[1]

North Marden St Mary is an Ancient parish in the civil parish of Marden West Sussex and was formerly a chapelry of East Marden, Sussex Ancient Parish with which it is now united.

It is an extremely isolated parish church with a semicircular Apse.
