There is one cemetery in Malta, Idaho. The first recorded internment at Valley Vu Cemetery was Sarah Lankford in 1863. contains a history of all residents at this cemetery including funeral programs, obituaries, histories and photos.

Many of the original records of church units are in the Church History Library in Salt Lake City. Many of the membership records covering these units from the date of their creation to about 1948 have been microfilmed and are available at the Family History Library in Salt Lake City or at its Family History Centers. Records of the Malta Ward(1910-1948) are among this collections.

Malta lies in the Raft River Valley. And is located on the west side of the Raft River eight miles south of Idahome, the nearest railroad station on the Oregon Short Line Railroad , 12 miles northeast of Elba and 30 miles north east of Oakley. Malta is situated in the mist of a fertile farming district, irrigated from the Smith and family in 1900’s. The Malta Precinct had a total population of 494 in 1930.
