Parish History[edit | edit source]
Kenilworth, is a small town, a parish, a sub-district, and a division in Warwickshire. The town is on the Leamington and Coventry railway, near the river Avon, 5 miles N E of Warwick, and 5½ miles SSW of Coventry. The town has a head post office, and a railway station, there are two churches, a Roman Catholic chapel. St. John's church was built in 1852, the dissenting chapels are Independents, Baptists, Wesleyans, and Unitarians.[1]
