Ipstones is an Ecclesiastical Parish in the county of Staffordshire, created in 1720 from chapelry in Leek, Staffordshire Ancient Parish. Other places in the parish include: Foxt, Morridge, and Meeridge.
IPSTONES (St. Leonard), a parish, in the union of Cheadle, N. division of the hundred of Totmonslow and of the county of Stafford, 5 miles (S. S. E.) from Leek. There are places of worship for Primitive Methodists and Wesleyans.
