The former area of Lübeck, Oldenburg is geographically located within modern Schleswig-Holstein, Germany. The former Lübeck records have been distributed within the Schleswig-Holstein archives. Originally the attempt was made to identify the archives holding the Birkenfeld and Lübeck records. This proved to be too time consuming based on the size of the project at hand.
