Description[edit | edit source]
Hyde County is located in the eastern portion of North Carolina and was named for Edward Hyde, to whom King Charles II granted tracts of land in the New World called "Carolina".[2]

Register of Deeds has birth, death and burial records from 1913, marriage records from 1850, land records from 1736, marriage bonds 1735-1867 and delayed birth records from late 1800s.
