HOLSWORTHY (St. Peter and St. Paul), a market-town and parish, and the head of a union, in the hundred of Black Torrington, Holsworthy and N. divisions of Devon, 42 miles (W. by N.) from Exeter. A branch of the Bude and Launceston canal passes about a mile to the north. Here are places of worship for Independents and Wesleyans.
