HOLBORN, is a part of the metropolis, a parish, and a district in Middlesex. The vicarages of St. Alban, Trinity or Grays-Inn-Road, and St. Peter or Saffron-Hill, the p. curacy of St. John constituted in 1867. St. Peter's, though reputed to be in Holborn parish, really consists of Saffron-Hill, Hatton Garden, Ely-Kents, and Ely-Place liberties.[1]
