Known Issues[edit | edit source]
Question 1[edit | edit source]
Question 1: The browse path only includes Film Numbers. How can I find the records I am looking for?
Answer 1: See Browsing images with film numbers as the waypoints (53900).
Question 2[edit | edit source]
Question 2: Why does a camera icon appear but I get a message “Image not Available”?
Question 3[edit | edit source]
Question 3: The record detail page is linked to the wrong image. How can I find the correct image? Answer 3: From the record detail page, use either the Event Date, Event Place, Film Number or the Reference ID information, or a combination of any of the search criteria, to find the correct image by clicking the right or left scroll arrow.
Question 4[edit | edit source]
Question 4: Where can I find the birth date which does not display in some search results?
Answer 4: Some records only contain an Estimated Birth Year located in the record detail page.
Question 5[edit | edit source]
Question 5: Why is there a camera beside the name of a person indicating that there is an image to view, but no image is available?
Answer: The owner of the original records has the right to restrict which records we are permitted to show on-line. In this collection, some of the records are available to view; others are not. If you receive the message that the image is not available, you can order the films at Ordering Microfilm and Microfiche and view the image at your local FamilySearch (formerly Family History) Center. The film number is listed near the bottom of the indexed information page.
