Fyrendal Parish, Sorø, Denmark Genealogy
Contents
History[edit | edit source]
Fyrendal has traditionally been an annex of Kvislemark. By royal decree dated 22 June 1820 it was decided at the next vacancy in the Kvislemark chapelry, Bisserup hamlet should be transferred from Fyrendal to Holsteinborg parish. This vacancy occurred in 1822. If your ancestor lived in Bisserup, check Holsteinborg for later records. The priest's farm Kvislemark suffered a fire in October 1861. However, parish records for both Kvislemark and Fyrendal survive as early as 1718.
