FLINTHAM (St. Augustine), a parish, in the union and N. division of the wapentake of Bingham, S. division of the county of Nottingham, 6½ miles (S. W.) from Newark. There is a place of worship for Wesleyans. 
Flintham is an Ancient parish .

The church of St Augustine of Canterbury originated in the 12th century and had two restorations in 1828 and 1896 and has been designated as a grade I listed building British listed building
