Description[edit | edit source]

The purpose of this task is to create New York migration trails listed in the "New York Related Articles" box at the bottom of New York County and state pages.

Instructions[edit | edit source]

1. Create a new page by going to: Create page and typing in the name of the trail you are going to work on.

Example: Hudson River Path

2. Once the page is created, follow the general outline found on the Mohawk or Iroquois Trail wiki page or the Delaware and Raritan Canal.

3. Some headings you may want to put on your page to describe the migration trail are the following:

  • Background History
  • Route
  • Connecting Trails
  • Modern parallels (modern roads that match the historic trail)
  • Settlers and Records
  • External links

4. Use the following resources to locate information about the migration trail:
