Discussion about the format/layout of county navboxes used on parish articles[edit | edit source]

As of January 2014 the navboxes being used in England are look similar to this example below

The long list of parishes within the county has been raised as an issue that both results in the navbox dominating a screen with a alphabetical list of parishes that is better browsed in the pages already available and concern that the what links here list less useful. The FamilySearch Wiki:Community Council considered this and suggest an alternative along the lines of

Which replaces the list of parishes (which will still be present on their own page in the wiki) with a list of registration districts (useful for searches post-1837. --Steve (talk| contribs) 18:21, 22 January 2014 (UTC)
