  • How difficult would it be to set the default to prompt users for edit summaries? Lise 21:19, 9 March 2012 (UTC)
This can be effected by changing the file Localsettings.php to include the following
$wgDefaultUserOptions['forceeditsummary'] = 1;
This is documented in the Mediawiki manual - default user options (editing)
