  • On November 16, 1810 the town of (Our Lady of the Pillar of) Curuzú Cuatiá was founded.
  • On October 9, 1852 it rose to the category of village and on September 25, 1888 a city.
  • The department of Curuzú Cuatiá has a population of approximately 44,000 people. [1]
