Family history societies often publish helpful journals, transcripts, compiled genealogies and host helpful websites. They may have ongoing projects to transcribe records and create indexes. Most societies publish queries in their journals and maintain lists of members’ research interests that may be helpful to you. Offaly History is about collecting and sharing memories. We do this in an organised way though our Facebook site,, and our library and offices at Bury Quay, Tullamore beside the Dew Visitors Centre. According to the website Cyndi's List this Society is the family history research centre for the Irish counties of Laois and Offaly.
