In 1856, The Caton Gilbert Union's membership comprised the parishes of 

Bolton le Sands, Lancashire Genealogy , Borwick,  Caton with Littledale, Lancashire Genealogy, Claughton within Garstang, Lancashire Genealogy, Farleton,  Gressingham, Lancashire GenealogyHalton, Lancashire GenealogyHeysham, Lancashire GenealogyHornby, Lancashire GenealogyNether Kellet,LancashireMorecambe Holy Trinity, Lancashire GenealogyOver Kellet, Lancashire Genealogy, Quernmore, Lancashire Genealogy,

 Slyne-with-Hest,LancashireTatham Fells, Lancashire Genealogy Tatham, Lancashire GenealogyWennington, Lancashire Genealogy, and  Wray, Lancashire Genealogy.

The Poulton district included Bare and Torrisholme (subsequently to become known as Morecambe) See Morecombe parish pages for these districts and parish creations.
