BURWASH (St. Bartholomew), a parish, in the union of Ticehurst, partly in the hundred of Shoyswell and Henhurst, but chiefly in that of Hawkesborough, rape of Hastings, E. division of Sussex, 8 miles (S. by W.) from Lamberhurst; There are places of worship for Calvinists and Independents.[1]
Burwash St Bartholomew is an Ancient Parish in Sussex. A history of the church is available Burwash St Bartholomew. The Church now has its own website at www.saintbartholomewsburwash.org.uk
The parish church of St Bartholomew has been designated as a grade II listed building British listed building
