The Bavaria Archive portal (Archive in Bayern) allows easy access to information about and links to over 900 archives. Click on the map to see archives in a specific region or click on the heading: "Zu den Archiven" to access several search screens. Archive entries include website and contact information.

Bibliography[edit | edit source]

  • An extensive bibliography of genealogical and historical publications dealing with localities in Bavaria. Includes town histories, house books with genealogies, published lists of inhabitants, transcribed records, occupational books, and more.

Digital Libraries[edit | edit source]

  • Munich Center for Digitization (Münchner Digitalisierungszentrum). For an English-language interface see the flag on the top right. The collection includes digitized newspapers [some searchable], address books, calendars, manuscript collections dealing with genealogies of Bavarian noble families, university immatriculation records, and much more.
