Health Facilities
History[edit | edit source]
Indian health facilities were created, including clinics on reservations, health sanatoriums, and hospitals. Many were former American Indian Schools, converted to hospitals or other health care facilities when the schools closed in the first half of the Twentieth Century. Some of these facilities focused on specific health issues, such as tuberculosis, mental health, etc.
