Danish Gods

History

The estate was established in 1355 by Erik Nielsen Gyldenstierne and remained in the possession of the family for nearly 300 years. In 1828 the estate was taken over by the Danish Treasury (Statskassen) for back taxes. Erik Christian Storm purchased the estate in 1842. Six years later it was sold to Carl Emil Roulund whose descendants owned it until 1914.
